California 2009

I don't have much pics right now, but I will add them later. We went with the Lubavs family to Dana Point, CA for a week and it was beautiful. I could totally live there. We went to Disneyland and Sea World and just enjoyed the beach. Nola did not like the beach this year, I think it was just too big for her and she has this thing with textures, she didn't like the sand either.

Unfortunately Julian and I both got sea sick this week, Julian went deep sea fishing and was sick the whole 4 hours and I went whale watching, but didn't feel sick until the next day. Crazy as that sounds. Nola slept on me the whole time we were on the boat, passed right out. The great thing is we actually saw a whale, it was awesome.

We had a great time, the weather was gorgeous. The trip was not long enough. We are going to try and do it every year, it is just to close and so much else to do there.

My cousin Kara met us for a visit, she lives in LA which is about an hour away. It was such a nice visit, crazy how time flies I am so glad she came out.

Just a couple updates!

Nola turned one on May 30th, we had a pool party for her, it turned out as good as it could with the dump of rain we got. Here are a few pics:

I can't believe she is one! It is too crazy! Her personality is hilarious and it is so nice to see the development each day.

Sorry for No update

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for no posts in the last couple of weeks, so here are some quick updates.

I had a great camping/hiking trip with the girls, it was so relaxing, yet we hiked many many miles. Our one hike was 8 miles. I will try and update some pictures in the next couple of days. Unfortunately while I was gone, Daddy delt with a sick Nola!I knew something was up when I left for the trip so I scheduled a visit to the doctor. Julian took her in and on friday night she had a double ear infection. Go figure! But besides that Daddy and Nola had a great weekend, he was happy to see me on Sunday. During the weekend Julian called to let me know that Nola can stand on her own, for a couple seconds. Yeah!

After that on Tuesday I picked Nola up from daycare and she looked like she got punched in the eye, keep in mind that she still is on antibiotics for the ear infection. Well I guess the antibiotics were not strong enough and she got a eye infection also. So we were back to the doctors on Tuesday night and we got new antibiotics and two days later what a difference. I felt so bad for her, she could hardly see and she was still so happy. I love my daughter!

Next weekend was mother's day, it was just a relaxing fun day with the three of us. Julian watched Nola while I took a much needed nap and we just did the family thing, which was exactly what I wanted to do.

This weekend we heading to Sundance to have brunch with Renee, Karl, Lija and Konrads. It is the best brunch ever. We decided to wait for this weekend instead of last, it would be too busy.

Crazy thing is in just two weeks NOLA turns 1!

I am having a bbq/pool party for her, it should be a blast.

Mom is leaving Nola for three days!!!!!

Hey Everyone,


Leslie is going on her first trip away from Nola. Next weekend all the girls are leaving for a camping trip, I will only be gone three days but it is going to be tough. Nola and Daddy will be hanging out together, she loves her Daddy so they will have a blast! It is just mommy that is have the issues. Hey give me a break, it is my first time away from her.

Besides that all is well and we are getting ready for Nola's big day next month, Nola turns 1! May 30th 2009. Yeah! We are having a party at my condo's clubhouse, the pool will be opened so it will be fun. Well hope everyone is well. Talk to everyone soon!

Our First Addition!

Welcome to our Family site! This is just to keep everyone updated on what is going on out here in the wonderful world of the Bonner Family. So many things are changing so fast with us and so I have decided to develop this so I can keep all our far away family up to date.

I will first start with Nola, she is 10 1/2 months old and 18lbs 8 ounces. She has developed curly hair, which is adorable . She can walk holding onto her stroller, couch or a table. She has five teeth and from all the drooling lately I am guessing there is more coming in. Her personality is pretty hilarious. She is laughing all the time and cracks up when she is being chased by daddy.

She changed so much since we have been back to Michigan, these are the times I wish we lived closer. She is definitely all girl, because as you can see she loves mom's shoes, clothes, and my jewelry. She runs her daycare, she is the center of attention and loves every minute of it.

Julian is having a blast with his baby girl and lovin every minute of it. He currently still works at Utah Home Fitness full time and is taking a couple classes each semester, getting closer and closer to be able to apply for the Doctorate program in Physical Therapy at the University of Utah. It is going to be a long haul for all of us while he is going through school but Nola and I are behind him 100% and we are so excited for him.

I am working as a Sales Analyst for a company called Premier Mentoring. It is definitely far away from my degree in Recreational Therapy, but I really enjoy what I am doing. I am looking to continue growing into the position of a Business Consultant/Analyst. When I am not at work, I spend as much time as I can with my wonderful daughter. We have a blast, go on walks, sing, she is start to develop a little dance, and act crazy together.

It has been a crazy winter for Nola, she has had her share of colds and sicknesses. I can not wait for winter to be over with. Besides that she is adorable and a great baby girl. We love her to death and have really enjoyed our move to Utah. We do miss our family, but this was a great decision and we always look forward to going home.
